An aging photographer called Andrâes Faulques spends his time painting a fresco of a battle scene on the walls of a tower above the Mediterreanan, accompanied by a face from the past and the spirit of a woman who disappeared ten years earlier. Dazzling from beginning to end, this intense and disturbing work whirls the reader through the chaos of the 21st Century.
